| A Ragdoll Cat is: Calm - Quiet - Affectionate - yet they are alert and love to play. The Ragdoll is a very intelligent and easily voice trained. |
The Ragdolls fur feels just
like rabbit fur. Their fur normally does not mat and shedding is
minimal even though they have medium long fur. This means grooming
can be kept to a minimum. Ragdoll kittens are born white and only
have blue eyes. They do not reach full body weight and color until
they are 2 to 3 years old. Neutered males can weigh 15 to 20 lbs., and spayed
females weigh 5 lbs less.  |

Ragdolls have been described to me by their owners as codependent. |

Ragdolls can relax completely or go limp in your arms if they so desire. They will only do this after they are very confortable with you. |

Ragdolls love for you to hug, hold and handle them alot. |

Ragdolls are very loyal and like to be with you and share in what you are doing. |

Ragdoll owners usually say their cats have puppy like traits. |

Ragdolls are very smart and sometimes can be taught to fetch, shake hands, roll over and sit up and beg. |

Ragdolls love to play and are not destructive, their voice is very quiet with soft meows. |

Ragdolls must be kept indoors, because they do not inherently have fighting instincts. |

Ragdolls are very patient with children, and other existing dogs and cats, they make themselves quite at home. |
